LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Players will meet all kinds of characters in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and the Universal Translator can help them talk to all of them.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga features 24 explorable planets full of different types of characters, and many of them speak alien languages that players cannot understand with any character. While any of the game’s playable protocol droids can step in to translate, there’s another way to avoid miscommunication while exploring the galaxy. By unlocking the Universal Translator, players will be able to automatically understand any spoken language without having to switch characters.

The universal translator is one of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga in-game modifiers, which players can unlock to enhance their gameplay experience. While some modifiers are only meant to add to the comical LEGO antics of the game, like the Lightsabers Wand or Galaxy Rave modifier, others can make it easier to traversal of the vast galaxy by the players. Modifiers like Super GNK Droid and Porg Companion give players an extra save when exploring levels and fighting enemies, and LEGO Skywalker Saga Stud multipliers greatly increase the number of studs players can earn during their adventure.

However, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Universal Translator is one of the most useful game modifiers that will save gamers time in the long run. Rather than switching to a Protocol Droid character each time they encounter a character who speaks another language, players will be able to understand all languages spoken with any playable character. This is especially handy in Story Mode, which only gives players a limited roster of characters that may not include a protocol droid.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s Universal Translator Is Worth The Cost

The Universal Translator modifier in LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga

To unlock the Universal Translator in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, players will need to purchase it from the Extras tab of the Holoprojector menu. This modifier is at the very bottom of the Datacards list, and players will need 500,000 Studs and a Datacard to unlock it. While Studs can be obtained by doing almost anything in the game, Datacards can be harder to obtain and require a bit more effort to find.

There are only 19 data cards in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, making it one of the rarest collectibles in the game. Additionally, many of them are hidden in dark places or locked behind puzzles for players to solve. One of the easiest data cards to get early is hidden in the upper left corner of Mos Espa on Tatooine, which players can reach simply by climbing a flight of stairs on the side of a building. Luckily, there are only 19 unlockable game modifiers that require a Datacard, so players will have just enough to unlock each modifier if they manage to track down every Datacard in-game.
